Melanage Peel series of two to even skin tone

Client had concerns with sun spots and skin discoloration. At her consultation with one of our lead aestheticians, Sarah Krauft, a series of two chemical peels was recommended. Client was pleased with the resulting clearer, brighter skin from the series of two Melanage Skin Brightening Peels.

This particular peel is what is known as a chemical peel. A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is generally smoother, less lined, and brighter.

The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun, which means after a peel is a great time to start a consistent regimen of wearing sunscreen every day. Your aesthetician will have some great recommendations for you. Our skin cancer experts recommend a broad-spectrum UVA / UVB medical-grade sunscreen SPF 30+.

WHAT IS THE MELANAGE PEEL SYSTEM?

The Melanage Peel System is a chemical peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyper-pigmented skin, which involves a medicated invisi-mask applied at Revive and an at-home regimen. This peel is safe and effective for all skin types including dark skin. There is no pain and little-to-no irritation during the application of the mask. Typically, the irritation level on the following days is more like a sunburn.

HOW DOES THE PEEL WORK?

Melanage Peel is applied during an office visit after the peel is freshly compounded by your Aesthetician. Application takes approximately 20 minutes with a uniform layer being applied. Patients will leave the office with the peel on their face, which remains on for required length of time per instructions from their aesthetician. The remainder of the treatment will continue at home with a follow-up visit. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict at-home regimen involving the application of included products.
