Patient's chief complaint was a skin lesion, located on the right forehead. The lesion is darkening, mild in severity and has been present for years.
Melasma can improve with retinoids, bleaching creams, superficial chemical peels, nonablative Fraxel, sun avoidance, and broad spectrum sunscreen.
A brightening cream was prescribed to use at night for 12 weeks. Also recommended was to avoid sunlight and wear sunscreen every day.
