This 50-year-old client was looking to reduce the signs of aging and rejuvenate her skin. She wanted her youthful glow back. After a thorough consultation, a Revive PRP Facial was recommended.

A Revive PRP Facial involves a quick blood draw. Your own blood is then spun to separate out the platelets. These platelets and all their benefits are then micro-needled back into your skin using the best microneedling device, SkinPen. Skin Pen was the first microneedling device approved by the FDA for the face and neck. Its single use cartridges ensure the utmost in sterilization and the adjustable  depth allows for a fully customizable treatment. Prior to the microneedling, a topical numbing cream makes this treatment completely painless.

Healing time will vary patient to patient, but expect redness and some peeling following the treatment, which will resolve itself in a matter of days. Skin will feel tight and dry, so it is important to use the aftercare products that come with the treatment and a very good sunscreen. No sun exposure is recommended until the next day,

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in a Revive PRP Facial is an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and the associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors in their natural and biologically-determined ratios.

Platelets release growth factors which regulate the healing cascade by signaling to surrounding cells to repair damaged tissue and regenerate new tissue. Key growth factors involved in this process include but are not limited to:

Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF)

Transforming Growth Factor group (TGF)

Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)

Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF)

Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF)

The Revive PRP Facial begins with a simple blood draw and spin in the Eclipse centrifuge allowing us to collect the highest concentration of platelet rich plasma from your own blood. This growth factor rich portion of your blood is then introduced to the skin with microneedling. Collagen stimulation, improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring are some of the benefits from PRP in combination with microneedling. We recommend starting with a consultation with one of our skin experts.
