What Is My Dermatology Provider Using? Andrea Thompson PA-C

Andrea Thompson

First off, I want to apologize for my two month absence from my blog.  Things have been incredibly busy, but I have missed writing educational pieces for our patients.  I will try to be more diligent in getting you more articles.

Andrea Thompson PA-C, was the second provider to respond to my email, so she will be the next provider daily regimen that we get to read about.  This is “What is my dermatology provider using?” Part III.

The AST Gentle Foamy Cleanser is designed for sensitive and redness prone skin.  It does a great job of cleansing the skin without causing any irritation.  Using the cleanser with the Clarisonic helps with exfoliation and unclogging pores.

Grape Seed Hydrating Serum is a concentrate of pure grape seed extract and essential oils. The natural aroma and light airy feel to the skin creates a very pleasant experience. Grape Seed Hydrating Serum is a wonderful all-round product that may also be included in home maintenance facials, used as post care support or for additional moisture and antioxidant support

SkinMedica Total Defense Tinted SPF 34 is a sunscreen that includes zinc oxide, the best ingredient to block harmful UV rays.  Wearing sunscreen on a daily basis helps to prevent skin cancers, pre-cancers, and premature aging.

Glo Minerals makeup is an excellent choice for patients with acne prone skin as many of their products are oil free and noncomedogenic (will not clog pores).

Tretinoin Cream (also known as Retin-A) helps with cellular differentiation and exfoliation.  Regular use of this cream helps with premature aging and fine lines.

TNS Essential Serum works synergistically with peptides to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and the overall tone and texture of skin. Seven antioxidants fight free radical damage. Specialty ingredients provide immediate visual smoothing. Alpha-arbutin brightens the skin.

AST Neck Rejuvenating Complex firms, tightens, and improves the appearance of the decolletage area using retinol, peptides, and antioxidants.

Below, I will post some pictures of what the above products look like.  All of these products may be purchased at Advanced Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center or Revive Medical Spa.
