Meet Ryan Rich, M.D. FAAD

Board-Certified Dermatologist

Ryan Rich, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist and graduate of Brown University who is committed to advancing dermatologic knowledge and improving patient outcomes through clinical excellence, research, and education. He brings over a decade of experience in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with clinical interests that include skin cancer prevention, acne, eczema, and advanced cosmetic procedures such as injectable fillers, neuromodulators, and rejuvenation therapies.

Education & Training

Originally from Nebraska and raised in Ohio, Dr. Rich earned his undergraduate degree from Miami University, where he was a four-time recipient of the Oxford Scholars Scholarship. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University. His dermatology training is both broad and prestigious, with research and clinical experience at institutions including Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic, University of Cincinnati, Northwestern University, University of Texas – Houston, and the University at Buffalo. He completed his dermatology residency at Brown University.

Clinical & Research Expertise

Dr. Rich has served as an investigator in over thirty clinical trials addressing a wide range of dermatologic conditions. He has partnered with leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies such as Amgen, GlaxoSmithKline, Celgene, Novartis, Genentech, Regeneron, Merz Pharma, Anacor Pharmaceuticals, and Astellas Pharma.

His work has been featured nationally and internationally in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Notably, in 2010, he earned the Alexander A. Fisher Resident Award for his presentation on allergic contact dermatitis at the American Contact Dermatitis Society’s annual meeting. In 2014, his research on a novel sodium hypochlorite body wash (CLn® BodyWash) for pediatric atopic dermatitis received recognition from the Skin and Allergy News Digital Network for its impact on patient quality of life.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, Dr. Rich enjoys spending time with his wife, Kristy, and their two daughters, Grace and Audrey. His hobbies include golfing, playing chess, collecting watches, and gaming on his Xbox. He’s a true crime enthusiast and a passionate gearhead who enjoys riding motorcycles in the warmer months and skiing in the winter. A firearms collector and recreational shooter, Dr. Rich values both precision and relaxation in his personal pursuits—just as he does in his clinical practice.
