How do I need to prepare?
It’s important that your aesthetician is able to visualize your hair follicles, so refrain from waxing or plucking your hair for a few weeks before your first laser hair removal appointment. You can still shave, since that only cuts the shaft of your hair, leaving your follicles intact.
How many treatments do I need?
The answer to this depends on the size of the area where you’d like hair removed. During your initial consultation, your aesthetician reviews the areas you want to tackle and comes up with a timeline for hair removal. We typically recommend 6 treatments, which is why we created 6 treatment packages with added savings.
Keep in mind that your appointments are spaced six to eight weeks apart so your aesthetician can make sure to treat all of the hair follicles in your target area. Not all hair grows at the same time, with some follicles being dormant at any given time. By waiting six to eight weeks in between appointments, it allows time for all of your follicles to be active and treated with the laser.
How long do results last?
Results vary from one person to the next. Some people enjoy several years of hair-free skin, while others may minimally regrow hair. Whether it’s one year or five years down the road, all you will need is a touch-up.
