Mohs – The Gold Standard for the Treatment of Skin Cancer
Mohs surgery is considered the most effective technique for treating many skin cancers, including basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) and squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs), the two most common types of skin cancer. SKIN CANCER PREVENTION
BE SUN SMART!
Skin cancer prevention should be practiced every day! UV radiation from the sun isn’t just dangerous, it’s also sneaky. Not only can it cause premature aging and skin cancer, it also reaches you when you’re trying to avoid it – penetrating clouds and glass (like car windows and the windows in your home) and bouncing off of snow, water, and sand. What’s more, sun damage accumulates over the years from prolonged outdoor exposure to simple activities like walking the dog, going from your car to the store and bringing in the mail. Skin cancer prevention needs to be something you do daily and incorporated into your everyday routines.
