Striving to provide you with comfortable treatments
Looking for more comfortable treatments? Talk to us. Discomfort levels vary from person to person. One person may not even flinch during a particular treatment; while others may say they were uncomfortable. We have many options to make any treatment more comfortable for you so you too can enjoy the results and not worry as much about any discomfort.
People often say “It hurts to be beautiful.” – but this doesn’t have to be true! Fear of pain, and specifically fear of needles (also known as trypanophobia), is often cited as the #1 reason people choose not to get Botox, Fillers, or other aesthetic procedures. The most common questions we get in our Fayetteville, Bentonville, and Harrison, Arkansas spas and dermatology clinics are: “Does getting Botox hurt?”, “Does getting fillers hurt?”, “Do laser treatments hurt?”, “Does a chemical peel hurt?”, or just in general, “Will the treatment hurt?”.
Treatment comfort is our priority
First and foremost, your comfort is our priority. Our goal is for you to enjoy the process itself (almost) as much as you enjoy the results! If you are especially afraid of injections, or if you have any fears whatsoever, we can take extra steps to further minimize the possibility of pain and any anxiety you may be feeling.
You should know too, that, if you do suffer from trypanophobia, you are not alone. A fear of needles is listed as one of the top 10 fears in the USA. Reasonable fear is not necessarily a bad thing, though. It can actually encourage you to be more careful about whom you choose for your aesthetic procedure – and to check their history, qualifications, and results. (Which you should do, whether you have fear or not.)
You have options to make treatments more comfortable
We have several options to help provide you with more comfortable treatments. Ask your provider during your consultation or when you call to make the appointment.
More Comfortable Treatments with Nitronox
Nitronox is a delivery system that provides a gas mixture of 50% nitrous oxide and 50% oxygen. It is used to help a more comfortable treatment during some dermatology and aesthetic spa procedures. If you experience any discomfort or anxiety during your treatment, you are able to inhale the gas mixture through a mask or mouthpiece, as needed. You’ll be fully awake, responsive, and breathing on your own through the entire process. There is a charge for adding this to your treatment. Cost depends on treatment and usage time. New Zimmer CryoMini for more comfortable treatments
Small, flexible and always ready to use. CryoMini blows -10° C cold air from a tube you hold during a treatment. The CryoMini was developed especially for shorter treatments and for treatments involving heat, like RF Microneedling.
Unlike other cooling methods, such as contact cooling, cryogen spray, or ice packs, the CryoMini can cool the skin before, during, and after a treatment, without interfering, allowing you to enjoy a more comfortable treatment.
We also can prescribe prescription drugs to calm the brain and nerves for more comfortable treatments. When this option is used as a way to provide a more comfortable treatment, we have patients take the drug once they arrive and require them to have a ride home.
