What is an Ultra Laser treatment like?

Many clients find Ultra Laser treatment easily tolerable without any numbing, although numbing cream is an option. Talk to your provider to see what is right for you.

— Patients describe the Ultra treatment as a warm, tingling sensation, which may vary from patient to patient.

— Immediately following the treatment, you will notice some redness, which will lessen over the next day or so.

— The following 5-6 days, your skin will have a dry, sandpaper-like This is normal and will resolve as your skin exfoliates, revealing fresher, clearer skin.

Q: Who can be treated with the Ultra Laser?

A: Anyone who would like to improve early aging symptoms, sun damage, melasma, or scarring. Ultra Laser is safe for all skin types, tones, and Fitzpatrick scores.

Q: Can I be treated with the Ultra Laser any time of the year?

A: Yes, Ultra Laser treatment is a year-round treatment. As with all lasers, you must not have had sun exposure for 2 weeks PRIOR to a treatment and should be extra careful, limiting sun exposure, for at least 2 weeks AFTER a treatment.

Q: How does the treatment feel?

A: You will feel some heat and tingling as the laser is passed over the skin, but the discomfort is very minimal. Depending on the depth of treatment and client comfort level, a numbing cream may be applied prior to the procedure to maximize your comfort.

Q: How long does the treatment take?

A: Treatment times vary. If numbing is needed, this adds a hour to the treatment time. Treatments for the face start at 30 minutes in addition to the numbing time. Ultra can also treat the neck and chest, which will add another half hour or more, depending on treatment depth, to your total treatment time.

Q: How long is the downtime?

A: There will be some visible redness right after treatment, which should subside by the following day when makeup can be worn, but you will be able to immediately resume your normal activities.

Q: How long before I see results?

A: Depending on the depth of treatment, healing time can last up to a week, but most clients see optimal results within 2-5 days.

Q: How many treatments will I need?

A: To maintain a youthful glow and prevent future skin damage, monthly treatments are recommended as a complement to your skincare routine. Your provider will work with you to find the best treatment regimen based on the results you are trying to achieve.
