Targeted Body Sculpting

Combine CoolSculpting with Emsculpt for Optimal Body Sculpting Results

CoolSculpting at Revive

There are two key components to targeted body sculpting: targeted fat loss and building targeted muscle. Both can be achieved at Revive Medical Spa when you combine CoolSculpting, targeted fat reduction, with Emsculpt, building targeted muscle. Both are non-invasive, require no downtime, and no incisions.

Both treatments allow you to achieve spot reduction and targeted body sculpting—which, remember, can’t be achieved by diet or exercise—what makes them different? And why should they be used together?

Diet and cardio decrease the size of fat cells in the body. However, diet and exercise do not let you choose which fat cells are being decreased or to what degree. That’s why you may have discovered that no amount of working out or eating healthy gets rid of stubborn pockets of fat and achieves complete body sculpting. Plus, diet and exercise can only reduce the actual size of fat cells, they are not entirely removed. That’s where Coolsculpting comes in.

CoolSculpting allows for targeted fat reduction by freezing away unwanted fat cells. You cannot achieve large weight loss with CoolSculpting, but rather a means of targeted body sculpting and contouring by focusing in on stubborn areas of fat. Coolsculpting can reduce stubborn pockets of fat in your submental (under the chin) and submandibular (under the jawline) areas, thigh, abdomen and flank, along with bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll), and upper arm. The ideal candidate for CoolSculpting is already at or close to their goal weight and struggling with small areas of fat that just won’t budge.

Trim and Toned with CoolSculpting and Emsculpt

The amount of body fat you have as well as its distribution is just half of the equation. Increasingly in recent years, both men and women alike have focused on strength instead of just body fat management. However, building muscle is not fast or easy.

Muscles must undergo micro-tears in order to get bigger and stronger. As these tears in the fiber heal, muscles naturally get larger and can handle a similar load in the future. That’s why when you work out at the gym you need to keep increasing the weight load in order to keep muscles growing.

Not just any tear in the muscle will do. If you want muscles to get more toned, the muscle needs to achieve what’s called supramaximal contractions that tear the muscle just right.

Emsculpt works by forcing targeted muscles into 20,000 supramaximal contractions in just 30 minutes per targeted location. Targeted body sculpting with Emsculpt concentrates on the abs, glutes, legs, or upper arms.

Emsculpt can also help with fat reduction, but the primary, targeted body sculpting benefit of this technology is muscle gains. There’s no way anyone could perform 20,000 reps of any strength training exercise in one session, and especially not in 30 minutes. Emsculpt lets you undertake 20,000 lunges, squats, crunches, bicep curls, and a host of other traditional strength training moves without having to break a sweat. However, just like a traditional workout (because Emsculpt achieves the same results as a traditional workout) the results aren’t immediate. Most clients undergo a few customized Emsculpt sessions spaced a few weeks apart, then see their final results a few weeks afterward.

The Dynamic Duo

You can undergo both CoolSculpting and Emsculpt in the same timeframe. After all, you can’t see the muscles you’re building if they’re covered in too much fat. By reducing fat with both CoolSculpting and Emsculpt, you can customize your body so that it’s svelte and toned to exactly the way you like.
